About
Broccoli
Growing broccoli takes patience! It’s slow to mature, takes up a lot of space, and requires nutrient rich soil and a lot of water. However, this member of the cabbage family is worth the trouble! The most common variety of broccoli has large flower heads that are typically green in color. However, there are other varieties of broccoli that include Chinese broccoli and broccolini. They are similar in flavor and interchangeable in recipes. Broccoli is available year round but thrives best in the spring and fall.
