The adventure of a lifetime!

Whelp folks–it’s going to be a little quite around the blog this week as I trade in my tractor keys for a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. That’s right, this farmer is hitting the road for the adventure of a lifetime.  As many of you know, it’s hard to leave the farm, animals, and daily chores for longer than a few hours, but every once in a while an opportunity comes to life that you just have to say YES to. Tomorrow (yes TOMORROW!!!) I will kiss my favorite farmer goodbye (and cuddle the crap outta of Henry!) and board a plane to Austin, TX. From there, I’ll be road tripping my way through the southwest with a group of talented women to explore and connect with each other in ways that inspire, move and encourage us to follow our dreams. This incredible opportunity is all thanks to the wonderful folks at Subaru (my favorite car brand) who are bringing us all together. I could not be more proud to represent the female farmer in this group of amazing women who are all making a difference in their own communities in incredible ways. This is truly an experience of a lifetime.

If you have been following along on this blog over the years, you know that I am very (very) particular with brands that I choose to work with (they are few and far between). I am not only proud to work with Subaru but I can honestly say I’ve been a Subaru driver since the day I got my drivers license. This is a brand that I love, trust and could not be more thrilled to partner with on this amazing adventure!

I’ve got a recipe or two that may pop up on here this week (wireless signal dependent) but I will be chronicling my entire trip on Instagram. You can view posts and follow along live on my Instagram stories.  I know some of you are not Instagram folks, but I do encourage you to follow along this coming week. It’s going to be a beautiful road trip through a part of the country that I’ve never seen. I could not be more excited, nervous, scared, stoked, happy and kinda of sad (only because I can’t bring Henry and Taylor along) to go on this adventure. As a farm girl that struggles with a bit of anxiety, it’s a big ass deal to leave the property, buy a few new outfits (you can’t travel and meet new people in dirty clothes) and get out of my comfort zone.

This should be an amazing trip. Stay tuned for a follow up post in the next few weeks. But in the meantime, follow along on Instagram.
