About

Corn

Sweet corn is quite possibly the most delicious vegetable we grow at Tumbleweed Farm. There is nothing we look forward to more than biting into an ear of fresh sweet corn straight from the field. When corn is finally available at farm stands, markets or grocery stores after a long winter it feels like Summer has officially begun.  Unlike field corn varieties which are harvested once the kernels are dry and mature, sweet corn is picked when immature (milk stage) and can be enjoyed as a vegetable rather than a grain.
