The time has finally come.
Taylor and I have an announcement……
No. We are not having a baby. We are having a farm! Our own farm. 3000 miles away from Hutchins Farm. We are terrified!
The above photo is the view we have from our new farm (Tumbleweed!) in Hood River, Oregon.
Needless to say, we are scared, nervous, and ready to jump out of our skin with excitement. All of these emotions have caused us to be extremely emotional over the past few weeks. We head west in 7 days.
Those of you who have been following our farm journey for the last two years must think we are crazy to leave Hutchins Farm. And guess what, you are probably right. We are leaving an amazing place.
Hutchins Farm is where Taylor and I fell in love with farming. The good, the bad, and definitely the ugly side of it all. The tears, blood, and endless curse words have been worth every moment though.
Hutchins Farm has sparked a fire in us. We will be forever grateful to this special place for showing us what farming is all about. We now have the confidence to go out into the farm world on our own and see what we are made of.
For those of you who have followed us since the beginning and have continued to read the blog day in and day out I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support and encouraging comments mean the world to me. The blog will continue and I hope you all follow us along into this next chapter.
Look out Oregon, here we come!
