Dishing Up the Dirt

a farmers lunch

December 13, 2011

So I thought I would share a simple lunch idea with you all.  Since I normally only share my dinner recipes with you I thought I would change things up and show you what we typically eat for lunch.

It’s not nearly as exciting, but hey, if you are bored with your regular lunch routine maybe this will give you another idea.

And it helps if you have friends with chickens.  Fresh eggs really make this meal!

This would be scrambled eggs with broccoli, string beans, and brussels sprouts.  Seasoned with hot pepper flakes, parmesan cheese,  salt and pepper.  Delicious.  With a side of toast of course.

It if filling, healthy and helps get us through an afternoon of pruning.

Nothing fancy, but if you need a change in your routine eggs is a fun one!

Off to work.  Have a great day.

I love having scrambled eggs for lunch. A quick and easy way to get great protein without being too sleep-inducing.

Eggs are underrated. I’m lucky enough to get farm fresh eggs too,and there’s nothing like them for sale in stores.Always getting double yokes, they’re the best!
