maca madness green smoothie
I recently discovered maca root powder and I'm totally obsessed. I love the slight malty flavor and I think it tastes awesome in our morning smoothies. We definitely need the extra energy this superfood provides now that the weather has turned crappy and it's hard to get out of bed in the morning to get our farm chores done.
Prepping a few beds for our garlic crop when it's raining outside is no big deal after drinking this delicious smoothie! I swear I've had more energy recently since this tasty number entered our morning routine.
Even Taylor loves his green smoothies and this Maca Madness is our favorite at the moment.
My sister is the inspiration behind this smoothie. She recently raved about a similar shake she got at a cafe in Portland. They called it the Maca Madness and she totally fell in love with it. I played around with my own version and I'm really happy with how this turned out. It honestly tastes like a milkshake but is full of good for you nutrition.
You can find maca root powder at any health food store. However, if you don't have any on hand you can skip that in this smoothie and it will still taste amazing. Grab a straw!Maca Madness Green Smoothie
