Dishing Up the Dirt

Roast Your Veggies

August 12, 2010

When in doubt, roast it! I promise, if you are at a loss for what to do with a veggie either saute it in butter and garlic or roast it!  Tonight I opted for the later and roasted up some potatoes, turnips, beets, carrots, celery, onions, and garlic.  It was quite the tasty meal after a long day of deep cleaning the Emerson House and working the farm stand.  I also had time to harvest some corn after work to have as a side dish.  Corn truly is the best side dish in the summertime!

I did not photograph our meal because I left my camera at work.  Just picture deep purple, yellow, and gold colors.  It was really pretty.

Alright off to bed.  I am SO tired today.  However, tomorrow I am off to the Belmont Farmers Market.  I plan to NOT pack my lunch and rely on Ragab to feed me.  I love the Belmont Farmers Market particularly for that reason!

Goodnight
