  1. Love the idea of a sweet potato smoothie! We have been drinking a pumpkin version of this for breakfast all week. Sweet potatoes are one of my favorite foods, so I say fire away with the sweet potato recipes!

  2. I never thought I would want sweet potatoes in my smoothie as much as I do now! Yes to this!!

  3. A sweet potato bigger than your head!! That’s a lot of sweet potato!! Wowzers!!

Loving this recipe! I’ve been so focused on pumpkin recipes (I can’t get enough!!!) that I have neglected my dear sweet potatoes! Well, a delicious smoothie ought to solve that problem! 🙂

PS – the photo with the mountain in the background is just stunning! How lucky to have such a view!!

Sounds great! Is the purée made with cooked sweet potatoes? Can it be raw?

    1. Andrea says:

      Hi Lise,

I used cooked sweet potatoes. However, you can try raw as well. If you have a high speed blender (like a vitamix) that can handle a raw sweet potato. Let me know if you go the raw way and how it turns out!

Bombard me! Bombard me! I’ll take as many sweet potato recipes as you can throw my way! I have no idea why I never thought to put sweet potato in my smoothie, considering I’ve made pumpkin ones, so I pretty much jumped for joy when I saw the title of your post. This looks so good! Have a great weekend!

Do NOT spare us a single sweet potato recipe!! I am SO excited for them. My favorite.

This smoothie is like dessert! And I would happily eat it as such.

  7. They are HUGE!! I love getting a big sweet potato (from the fruit shop mind you) so I don’t have to peel the little fiddly ones.!

  8. Beth says:

Those look amazing. Do you have any other smoothie recipes?

    Sweet potato recipes?

  9. Beth says:

    That looks wonderful!

  10. Melly says:

Ooh, Can’t wait to try it! How do you prepare your sweet potato purée? Thx…you are such an inspiration!

    1. Andrea says:

I can’t wait for you to try it either! I usually dice my sweet potato into 1/4 inch chunks (I leave the skin on!) and cook it in boiling water until fork tender. Let it cool completely and mash with a potato masher. Chill in the fridge before using.
