You want to know what goes really well with this chocolate (green) smoothie? Decorating christmas trees and singing along to Mariah Carey’s Holiday Pandora station. Life doesn’t get much better than this. (And yes, Mariah Carey Holiday is awesome, no judgment please!)

Dorky picture alert!

Taylor and I were pretty excited to get a christmas tree this year. We haven’t picked one out for our own home in years. We have always been afraid that Henry would pee on it, knock it down, or it would just spook him. The good news is that he doesn’t seem bothered by the new addition to our living room. The bad news is that he already peed on the tree. I think it was a one time mark his territory type of thing (hopefully!)

In between decorating and singing breaks we enjoyed sipping on this delightful little concoction.

Chocolate Almond Butter (Green) Smoothie

This may just be my new favorite smoothie. It tastes like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup even though it’s packed with spinach, flax seeds, and almond butter. It tastes amazing and I promise you can’t taste the spinach.

Here is what ya need:

1 banana

1 cup fresh spinach

1 generous tbs of almond butter

1 tbs flax seeds

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbs agave nectar (or honey)

2-3 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup very cold water

Blend everything together in a blender and enjoy!
